Here is the price breakdown on what my freezer dinners cost me to make this week.

Beef Stew (x2)

  • Boneless Beef Chuck Roast $2.99lb @ 1.99lb =$5.95 (from Jewel)
  • Organic Baby Carrots $1.25 (from Caputo’s previous week)
  • Chef’s Cupboard Condensed Cream of Mushroom Soup 10.5oz. $0.49 x2 =$0.98 (from Aldi)
  • Harvest Valley Tomato Sauce 14.5-15oz $0.33 (from Menards)
  • Season’s Choice Steamed Sweet Garden Frozen Peas 12oz $0.79 (from Aldi)
  • Chef’s Cupboard Beef Broth 14.5oz $0.49 (from Aldi)
  • Garlic & Other Spices & Seasonings 
  • Russet Potatoes 8lb $0.98 only need about 6 total =$0.42 (not needed till day of cooking)

Total: $10.21 for 2 or $5.11 each

Freezer Taco Meat (x3)

  • 85% Lean Ground Beef $1.99lb @ 3.30lb =$6.57 (from Jewel)
  • Casa Mamita Taco Seasoning 1oz $0.29 x3 =$0.87 (from Aldi)

Total: $7.44 for 3 or $2.48 each
(plus tortillas and all the fixing for tacos, which we’ll need the day of cooking)

Tomato Sauce Pasta (x2)

  • Prego Pasta Sauce $0.99 x3 =$2.97 (from Capouto’s previous week)
  • Prince Pasta $0.89 x2 =$1.78 (from Valli Produce previous week)
  • Organic Grape Tomatoes $0.99 (from Jewel last week)

Total: $5.74 for 2 or $2.87 each

Alfredo Sauce Pasta (x2)

  • Prego Alfredo Sauce $0.99 x3 =$2.97 (from Capouto’s previous week)
